Corridor Rentals and Sales, Inc. was founded in July 1996. President Cullen Phillips had been in the equipment rental and sales industry for nearly 6 years when he decided open his own location close to his home. After the first year, Corridor opened in the Greenmount Shopping Center in Hampstead, MD. The facilities were quickly outgrown and he began looking for a new location. The company was and still is primarily a new equipment dealer with more than 85% of its revenue generated from sales. In 1999 Corridor moved to Manchester, MD and now occupies a 25,000 sq. ft. building one block off of Rt. 30. The facility includes a 3000 sq. ft. showroom, an upper bay small equipment shop, a large downstairs equipment shop, and about 3500 sq. ft. of office space all located on a fenced three acre site.

In 2000, Melissa Phillips started MAPCON, Inc., a diamond blade and saw distributing company. The offices are co-located with Corridor and MAPCON currently has over $50,000 in blade and accessory inventory. MAPCON is also responsible for the used equipment brokerage and manages a database of over 5000 used pieces of equipment.

Corridor and MAPCON currently serve customers primarily in the Mid-Atlantic area, but have many customers nationwide. Corridor is a dealer for many name brands including Terex, Genie, Stone, IHI, Multiquip, Kaeser, Power Mfg., Airplaco, Target, Mayco, Husquvarna, Mitm, MK Diamond, RGC, and more!
